We found this trans-axle car stored in a shed in New Mexico. It had been there for 20 years. The right door was rough and the back right quarter had been dented, but there was no major rust. All the chrome was good, and it was a convertible. We found a new door and a new quarter in Oklahoma City.
The '63 Tempest was a foot shorter and much lighter than the first GTO. So With almost two years work we brought this one back to life. Complete with a 4-link rear, a Richmond 5-speed and a new aluminum head 502 Chevy. It's a fun ride!
